Let’s be clear right up front:
I am not an aesthetic mom.
I’m a real-life mom. I homeschool. I forget what I’m doing mid-task. My ADHD brain runs the show most days. Some days we’re thriving… other days we’re just surviving—and honestly, survival still counts.
If something actually helps my life run smoother, keeps me calmer, or saves my sanity even a little—I’m buying it again.
These are Amazon finds I actually use in my everyday mom life. Not because they’re trendy. Not because they’re cute. But because they help me function.

This is one of those things I didn’t know I needed until I had it—and now I use it constantly. It helps my kids stay focused longer than five minutes (which honestly feels like a miracle).
Is it life-changing?
No.
Does it help enough to make the day less chaotic?
Absolutely.
I don’t rush them, but I set the timer and let them know when it beeps take a break and get back to work. Their break could be standing and stretching or walking or stepping outside for a minute.

This helps with transitions, routines, and those moments when everyone is hungry, tired, and one inconvenience away from a meltdown. Anything that reduces power struggles is a win in my house.
I write down if we have meetups, field trips, what extracurricular activities like swim class, whose turn it is to cook lunch and what we are having for dinner. I also let them know what we are working on that day.
On busy days, this saves me. When my brain is overloaded and mom life feels loud, this helps things run a little smoother—and I’ll take every small win I can get.
I like hands on learning better but on the days i have to much to do or we just need a small break from each other i hand them their workbooks and set the times. There are grade appropriate workbooks.
🙏 Faith & Mindset (Because I Can’t Do This Without God)
Faith isn’t something I save for Sunday.
It’s how I get through Tuesday.
These are things I use to slow down, pray, and remind myself that God’s grace still covers me—even when the house is messy and my patience is thin.

This stays within arm’s reach most days. When anxiety creeps in or I feel overwhelmed, having this nearby helps me reset and breathe.
I don’t journal perfectly or consistently. Some days it’s a prayer. Some days it’s a brain dump. This helps me get everything out of my head and back into God’s hands.

This keeps my day from completely unraveling. I rely on it more than I’d like to admit—and I’m done pretending moms have to do everything the hard way.
When mom life feels chaotic, this helps bring a little calm back into the day. It’s not about perfection—it’s about survival.
💬 A Real-Life Reminder
If you’re doing your best and still feel overwhelmed—you’re not failing.
You’re just a mom doing a lot with very little rest.
These things help me.
Take what helps. Leave what doesn’t.
Grace over perfection. Always.
